Marie Dolphin is an animal photographer and artist in Redondo Beach, California. Her heart for animals, especially those in animal shelters prompted her to start a line of images called “Pound Pets” which showcase the wonderful animals that can be rescued or adopted from animal shelters. Although self-published initially, the line is currently being licensed into various products: greeting cards, calendars… While still working on more card/calendar… images, she is also now taking commissioned photography assignments for pet owners. She will provide a forever keepsake that reminds them of the joy, unconditional love and companionship that their beloved pet gives them. Marie prefers to do pets in natural environments. She also enjoys various creative projects; painting on canvas, re-habbing her house, fixing up flea market finds! She is married to her best friend of many many years, Mac, who shares her love of animals. Through the Pound Pets images and efforts in helping the homeless pets get adopted, Mac and Marie truly hope to make a difference in the lives of homeless animals for years to come.
