Sicsa Animal Shelter…Kettering Ohio
This is my home town shelter. This is the shelter that started my path to photographing animals that have been “impounded” Long long ago. This shelter had a calendar contest. I was in photography school at the time and decided to photograph my dog “Yogi” a beautiful collie/shephard mix. She actually won the cover position and became a local celebrity. I thought to myself, ” It would be so fun to photograph a whole calendar of pets from shelters and 10 years later the “pound pets” 1st calendar was produced.
